My work often occupies a “hidden in plain sight” position within gallery settings, thriving in spaces with a history of use and in dialogue with other artists. My practice encompasses large-scale installations and performances.

My installations use simple, everyday objects to subvert viewers’ expectations, merging with the structure of the exhibition space rather than occupying clearly defined areas. Subtle interventions—additions, repetitions, and disruptions—invite audiences to search, notice, and engage with the environment, creating fluid and shared experiences.

My performance work explores long-duration movement, repetition, and audience participation, often alongside object manipulation. Informed by my experience of seeking asylum in the UK and becoming a British citizen, alongside my work with neurodiverse children, these works examine identity, belonging, and community. By inviting audiences to participate directly, I aim to create inclusive spaces where engagement, observation, and interaction extend the impact of my installations beyond conventional display.

The link between the way I install and exhibit work and my approach to space reflects my discomfort with conventional gallery structures and my unease with borders, as well as the conflicts, divisions, and exclusions that can arise when identity is tied to a region, space, or territory.
